Explotango is not an orthodox tango event.
It is a relaxed gathering where sharing, creativity and ease in relationships are welcome guests.
Its creators: Gisela Navonit and Alejandro González, two tango dancers and teachers with decades of experience, who also combine their love for tango, contemporary dance, contact, improvisation and artistic creation in Explotango.
They master and teach both roles in tango, which makes learning, interaction and sharing more flexible during these three or four days of adventure. But especially, and what I think is most relevant, they create a unique tango atmosphere, built on respect, ease, freedom and modernity.
I would like to convey to lovers of tango and nature that combining a tango event in this magical rural house can be a healthy and unforgettable experience, with endless rounds of tango, a swimming pool, respect for the body and good vibes.

Explotango A different kind of weekend, surrounded by nature, living off what it provides. Connecting with those who want to give and receive. Exploring the body, the senses, movement, music and tango. Everything relaxed, without tension or pressure. No marketing, no competition. With time to walk, think, feel, sunbathe, swim, breathe fresh air (incredible that it still exists). Incredible that food tastes like food, that the oil, bread, wine and other delicacies are just that... ‘Delicacies of the earth’. That relationships with people arise, that tango flows and that energy is transformed into relaxation and peace. Much peace! That the music seems chosen for each moment, that it matches your breathing and that of the other... As if we were one for a good while, losing track of time... Exploring tango, nothing more... And nothing less. Thanks to: Gisela Navonit Alejandro Gonzalez for dreaming it up, the rest of the attendees for their camaraderie, the chefs for their incredible natural food, the DJs for never stopping their research, the teachers, the masseuse, and Sergio, who is everywhere at all hours, being the life of the party.

Why do I participate in Explotango?
Gise and Ale know how to light the fire. The magic of tango is guaranteed.
Their way of being and doing attracts more of that, so I know that finding friends and sensitive people to meet, dance and talk to is also guaranteed.
They are parents, so they make sure that children also feel welcome and have a good time while their parents are having fun. I can go with peace of mind, knowing that they have thought of Libertad (my daughter) too.
A dream location, tango and nature in one place.
Everything in one place, to do whatever I want, whenever I want. If I want a swimming pool, it's there; if I want a massage, it's there; if I want to dance, it's there; if I want to sit under a tree all afternoon, it's there.
